A married friend of mine just found out that she’s pregnant. The best news ever! Especially since she and her husband had been trying for over a year. So who’s the first person she told? The soon-to-be-dad right? Nope. I was shocked to hear that she first shared the news with her childhood friend. I can understand why a woman might turn to a friend before the father if she’s single or breaking up or cheating or wasn’t planning on being pregnant. Otherwise, I guess I just always assumed that everyone shared the happy news with their significant other before anyone else. I guess I was wrong.
