When I went to Neutrogena’s website to see if there were any other incidents of allergic reactions, I found there were several similar complaints. As of May 2018, the ingredients listed on the website were: “Water, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, Isostearyl Palmitate, Pentaerythrityl Tetraethylhexanoate, Isononyl Isononanoate, Cyclopentasiloxane, Hexylene Glycol, PEG-4 Laurate, PEG-6 Caprylic/Capric Glycerides, Sucrose Cocoate, Carbomer, Sodium Hydroxide, Benzoic Acid, Dehydroacetic Acid, Phenoxyethanol, Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate, Fragrance (EU 1279).”
So it’s unclear what exactly could be causing this surge of allergic reactions, or if there’s a real surge at all. Hopefully the brand will figure it out soon.
