People seemed incredibly happy about Tarte’s foray into something totally different, but, uh… they shouldn’t get their hopes up. “Jokes on Tarte,” one fan wrote. “Seems like many people got quickly excited and expressed interest in purchasing a palette like this. Guess it’s back to busted and boring neutral palettes!” “It’s so funny to me that the only interesting and innovative @tartecosmetics palette since 2016 is actually an April fool [sic] joke,” another fan chimed in. “Yeah then please go ahead nad [sic] release the 1333337th warm toned palette lmfao.” “[This is] what should’ve been the mermaid palette,” another roasted. “This is what they should be putting out instead of those dusty ass palettes.” OUCH! The joke was (literally) cool, but fans want the brand to be just as creative with its real beauty products. Only time — and Tarte — will tell!
