On Thursday, October 12, Governor Jerry Brown of California signed the Assembly 10 Bill. The bill, spearheaded by Assemblywoman Cristina Garcia, will require all middle and high schools in the state to stock half of their bathrooms with free menstrual products if at least 40 percent of their student population falls at or below the federal poverty threshold.
