There is something about the warmth of food straight out of the oven that says loving, right? The living room may be the place where people focus their cleaning efforts when company comes, but it’s the kitchen that is the heart of the house. The kitchens that have meant the most to me over the years have always combined the best of smells, warmth, and color. Is there anything more relaxing and lovely than sitting in a kitchen warmed by baking bread while talking to the people you love?...

Doctors determined that Kaylee was suffering from a flesh-eating bacteria, and also another bacteria that still remains unknown. Her mother described the rash as “a band starting from her leg and up to abdomen and her side” that was raised. She also added, “It was like two inches, like a warped rash. It was literally spreading up her body.” And the way Kaylee possibly contracted the bacteria is even scarier than the bacteria itself....

So! There’s good news, there’s bad news, and there’s confusing news. Here we go. The bad news is that researchers found a link between a compound called PFCs, which are found in non-stick cooking stuffs, water-resistant clothing, and some packaging products, and birth weight. The more PFCs the mother has accumulated in her lifetime in her body, the higher the possibility of a low birth weight for her baby, but a higher than average weight for him at 20 months old....
