Being the low-brow human I am, I was looking through Khloe Kardashian’s Instagram this morning when I stumbled upon a close-up photo of her looking unusually bright-eyed. And then, on further examination of the pic, I realized what Khloe had done to get her look: She lined the inner corners of her eyes with white eyeliner. Run, don’t walk to your local drugstore, girls. You needs to add white eyeliner to your makeup bag. Life-changing. Okay, so it’s not life-changing, but lining the inner corners of your eyes with white (or gold) liner, and the outer corners with dark liner, makes a huge difference in how your eyes look. By lining your inner corners with a dark color, you’re making them look smaller. And while a fully dark-lined eye always looks sexy, needless to say, it isn’t ideal for people with small eyes. By going over the inner corners of your eyes with something light, then something dark on the outside, you’re getting the best of both worlds — the smokey eye and the eye-brightener. And speaking of white eyeliner, you can also use it to line your “waterline” — the inside of the bottom part of your eye (the part that butts up against your actual eyeball) — to make eyes look bigger. It sort of gives the illusion of elongating the white part of your eye. Sounds weird, I know. But it works. So, off to Rite Aid, friends, for some white eyeliners. And hey, while you’re there, would you mind picking me up a rag mag and a bag of Doritos? Do you ever use white eyeliner? Image via Khloe Kardashian/Instagram
