The actress/designer teamed with Eloquii on a limited edition 30-piece spring capsule collection called Draper James x Eloquii, which goes from size 12 to 28. Full of versatile dresses, statement jumpsuits, and flirty skirts, the line debuted in early March and pieces immediately began selling out.
It always piques my interest when a non-plus-size designer curates a collection for plus-size women, so naturally, I had to give the collection a try and see if it lived up the hype!
The print is beautiful and the overall attention to detail on the garment is eye-catching. This is by far my favorite piece from the collection.
One of my favorite features is the tie-waist belt, which is perfect for adjusting to your comfort level.
I was so excited to give this a try because I love when designers include pieces with stripes in plus-size collections. It helps dispel the myth that curvy girls don’t look good in stripes — because WE DO!
These ruffle sleeves are EVERYTHING. The fit of the shirt is also good. Obviously, I am a girl who is blessed with the breasts, and when fully buttoned, this top does not gap. YES!
The print is definitely statement-making, but the best part about the skirt? POCKETS!!! I love a garment that includes built-in lipstick holders. After all, that’s what pockets are really made for…duh!
I have large breasts (if I must remind you again), so I worried that my boobs would hang to the floor like elephant ears due to lack of support.
Oh, was I WRONG! Not only were my breasts supported, the fit was contoured enough to support me going braless. Yes, girl, BRALESS!
The fit of the shirt is very comfortable. However, there is no stretch. I’m wearing a size 18, so be sure to get your true size.
