Crock-Pot Pizza Chicken adapted from What’s Cooking in the BurbsServes 4
Ingredients3-4 boneless skinless chicken breasts2 tsp. Italian seasoning blend1 tsp. garlic powder1 tsp. red pepper flakes2 tsp. Parmesan cheese (plus extra for topping)1 cup pizza sauce (like Muir Glenn Organic)3/4 cups low-fat shredded mozzarella cheese2 oz. sliced turkey pepperoni1 Green Bell Pepper, sliced8 oz. pasta or pre-made pizza crust
Place chicken in Crock-Pot. Season with Italian seasoning blend, garlic powder, red pepper flakes, and Parmesan cheese. Add in your green pepper and pour pizza sauce over chicken. Cover and cook on low for 4 hours. During last 30 minutes of cooking time, toss in your pepperoni and top with shredded cheese.
