From cakes to cookies to cobblers and more, it truly seems like there’s no dessert the slow cooker can’t take on. Whether there’s a spoil of summer fruits to be taken advantage of or there’s an alarming lack of brownies in the house, that Crock-Pot can handle every confectionery need — no matter the season. Even better, there are usually fewer steps involved in making desserts this way. And fewer steps equals less time cleaning up! (Sometimes “slow” cooking really is the speediest way to go.) Bread pudding, brownies, cobblers, cakes, and even giant cookies can all be baked (or should we say “no-baked”?) in a Crock Pot. From the looks of it, the only dessert that can’t be prepared in a slow cooker is an ice cream cake. And, who knows? Somebody will probably figure out a way how to do it eventually!
