Memories of dodgeball, hall monitors, or even the way that teachers used to punish misbehaving children are enough to make even the steeliest parent shudder. Most of these policies and practices changing were good things — they made schools safer and a little more fun. But every once in a while it’s interesting to take a walk down memory lane and remember the things — both good and bad — that made us who we are from going to school in the ’80s.
